ASTM WK40671

New Guide for A comparative analysis of two or more powder coatings

    (What is a Work Item?)

Developed by Subcommittee: D01.51 | Committee D01 | Contact Staff Manager

    1. Scope

One of the difficult things about powder coatings is to have a complete and concise way to evaluate and compare one powder coating to another. While cost is a very important element of selecting a powder coating there are many elements that ultimately should be considered and/or evaluated during the comparison process that will affect the applied cost. The factors that should be considered vary from one consumer to another and this standard is to be created to help the consumer weigh the elements to be considered during the evaluation process, giving the consumer a true comparative between two or more powder coatings.
