1. Scope
Powder coatings that contain metallic pigments are sometimes bonded to improve and enhance application characteristics as well as give better protection of the metallic pigment. The percentage of bond that takes place during this process will determine the benefit gained from the bonding operation. This standard is to develop a repeatable process to compare the percentage of bond of one powder coating to another.
