Efflorescence sometimes occurs in new pavements. This guide provides information, if implemented, will reduce efflorescence potential in new segmental and masonry pavements. This guide utilizes pertinent information in C1400 Standard Guide for Reduction of Efflorescence Potential in New Masonry Walls which was published by ASTM in 2001, and new information on segmental and masonry pavement systems.
