1. Rationale
It has been determined that the description of the pass/fail criteria for the slat strength tests needs clarification. It was never intended that one slat breaking under a force between 60 & 80 lbs. would constitute a failure. However, the standard as it is written would result in a failure under such a circumstance because the sample would no longer be compliant with slat spacing requirements.
