9.1.2 and 220.127.116.11 The copper and nickel over-coating was initially included to align with ESA/SCC 3901 micro sectioning procedures. Most if not all companies will have procedures to perform micro-sectioning without the nickel or copper over coating as a requirement. The addition of 18.104.22.168 allows the over coating to be optional. 10.2.4.2 Clarified specific test from section 4 that are typically completed as inspection test in production. 10.2.4.2.1 Micro-sectioning and the red plague corrosion test are non-standard or specialized test completed in a lab only setting as opposed to being a production test. The addition of 10.2.4.2.1 clarifies that the non-standard or lab test isnt a required test for every manufactured production unit.
