1. Rationale
This standard is scheduled for review re-approval in 2013. Its anticipated that there will be two substantive changes to coating names intended to bring these designations in-line with contemporary commercial practice. The entire standard will not be balloted for approval; rather, the ballot submission will include just these two particular items and may also include additional editorial changes resulting from review of the standard.
