1. Rationale
Most A01 General Requirements specifications contain an Annex that identifies the requirements for adding a new alloy to any specification referencing the general requirements specification. An action to add an Annex to A961 that addresses requirements for adding an alloy that already exists in another A01 or B02.07 specification to a specification that references A961 is in print, and other similar actions are in the balloting process. But A788/A788-11 has no Annexes describing requirements for adding new grades to product specifications referencing A788. This item adds Annexes A3 and A4, to do so.
