1. Rationale

The revised E572, previously on ballot E01 (12-05), was submitted to ballot without the correct revision of the scope table in section 1.1. Therefore, section 1.1 is now being balloted with a table containing the correct scope limits chosen using a criterion of 25 % maximum reproducibility (see E1601 12.2.1), and a revised Note 1.
