    1. Rationale

    Address five issues related to test specimens: (1) resolve conflicting definitions of the term reduced section, (2) clarify requirements for pin-loaded specimens (Figure 7), (3) clarify requirements drawings of suitable ends for round specimens (Figure 9) , (4) determine circumstances in which the sub-size flat tensile specimen of Figure 1 may be used (5) improve the visual clarity of specimen schematic drawings: Figure 1, 7, 8, 9, 13, 15, 17, 18, 19, 20
