1. Rationale

Correction of typographical errors, need for describing a new needle - extension bar - weight holder combination that allows an increase in the effective density of the needle and raises the maximum achievable shear rate with the instrument and need for inclusion of a phrase recommending avoidance of the use of mercury thermometers or other devices to measure temperature.
