ASTM WK39767

(What is a Work Item? / How to Input to a Work Item)

Work Item: ASTM WK39767 - Revision of A630 - 03(2009) Standard Test Methods for Determination of Tin Coating Weights for Electrolytic Tin Plate

Active Standard: A630 - 03(2009)

Developed by Subcommittee: A01.20 | Committee A01 Home | Contact Staff Manager

1. Rationale

It was noted that the precision statement should cover the range of coating weights listed in A624. ASTM staff indicated that it is acceptable to provide the precision statements for Low, Medium, and Heavy coating weights instead of the full range. The Task Group agreed that the Work Item 2 will cover the Low range. Commercial tinplate samples of 0.50 and 1.00 lb/bb will be secured to start the new round robin testing.
