1. Rationale
Tubing that is used in mechanical applications in the as cold worked condition is currently being purchased to A269 with exceptions to the heat treatment requirements and mechanical properties. This revision would add an as cold worked option to A269 and simplify the ordering process for customers who wish to order as cold worked tubing with specific mechanical properties.
