1. Rationale
Current prescription of technology implemented in E415 is narrow such that industry users are having difficulty retaining or obtaining equipment that satisfies the specific technologies described in E415. This revision will expand the scope, apparatus section, excitation and exposure sections, and any pertinent sections in order to allow the use of Spark-AES instruments that meet or exceed the precision and bias statements of the current E415.
