WK39599 Revision of D7032 - 10a Standard Specification for Establishing Performance Ratings for Wood-Plastic Composite Deck Boards and Guardrail Systems (Guards or Handrails)

1. Rationale

As the marketplace has grown, a wide range of products with a wide range of formulations has emerged. The one constant in this growth has been the use of D 7032 as the basis for all current code listings in the US. As a performance-based specification the marketplace and the Evaluation Service organizations have acknowledged D 7032 for this purpose. The term composite lumber has become commonly used in commerce today and this change is to reflect current industry use. Additional changes of this standard will be also balloted to keep this standard up-to-date.
