ASTM WK39434

(What is a Work Item? / How to Input to a Work Item)

Work Item: ASTM WK39434 - Revision of F2291 - 11 Standard Practice for Design of Amusement Rides and Devices

Active Standard: F2291 - 11

Developed by Subcommittee: F24.24 | Committee F24 Home | Contact Staff Manager

1. Rationale

Amusement attractions that are covered under the scope of the 2291 standard are required to have accelerations that are compliant with the acceleration duration limits. There are multiple ways to calculate the acceleration duration limits, but the G-Force task group decided that it would be helpful to add a recommend method for determining acceleration durations. The language being balloted will be added to the Appendix (non-mandatory section of the standard) as a recommend method for determining the acceleration duration limits.
