1. Rationale
A major revision of D2777 was passed via the last D19 Main ballot. However, several members had constructive suggestions for improvement. All but one of these ideas are now being submitted for ballot. The remaining recommendation was to include an example to illustrate the procedures that are now included within D2777. To date, no data have been generated via these new protocols. As soon as such results are available, they will be balloted for incorporation into the document. With reference to the addition of a definition of degrees of freedom, the balloted text is an exact duplication of the description that is given in Section 7.6.5 of D2777, and is being added to the Terminology section for completeness. The following additions and changes are the only parts of D2777 that are on this ballot. An Affirmative vote is a vote to approve these modifications.
