1. Rationale

The UNS (Uniform Numbering System) requires that each specific metal grade or alloy composition receive a unique UNS number. The composition of the Prime Western grade-recycled zinc in this specification requires that a new UNS number be assigned, as reflected in this revision. The new UNS number is underlined in red and the obsolete number is crossed out in Table 1.
