1. Rationale
If an ASTM standard does not receive a new approval date by the end of the eighth year since its last approval, the standard is automatically withdrawn by ASTM Headquarters. The technical contact and task group have reviewed the standard in its entirety and propose to make only the editorial changes indicated using tracked changes. There are no technical changes being proposed at this time. In addition, the task group believes that this standard should continue to exist as it is referenced in the current meaningful use Regulation.
