1. Rationale
Section 18 of this standard is being revised to address a negative vote that resulted from a ballot in August 2011 to re approve the standard. The negative vote, which was found to be persuasive at the fall 2011 committee meeting, requested that the certification section of the standard be revised to make certification mandatory rather than when requested by the purchase order. This change will make the standard more consistent with the certification requirements of other standards within B10 and general industry practice.
