1. Rationale

The purpose of this project is to add reference to crosslinked polyethylene in appropriate locations within the document. The rationale is that this test method is also appropriate for pipelines of crosslinked polyethylene (PEX), and several users of crosslinked polyethylene would like to reference this test method.
