E 1915-11 is being revised to include the acid neutralization potential low range method. This method is needed to address a significant bias in the acid neutralization potential titration method in content below 2% CaCO3, which has been designated as uncertain by many acid base accounting practitioners. The method is needed for materials containing acidity as well as materials that contain little or no acid neutralization potential to properly classify the materials.
