1. Rationale
Standard E1779 Preparing a Measurement Plan for Conducting Outdoor Sound Measurements was retired within the last few years. However, much of the information contained in the Standard was considered useful. The following language is proposed as an Appendix to E1503. Once the language of this Appendix has been approved in subcommittee, a reference will be added to Section 1.3 of E1503. This document incorporates the comments generated by the previous ballot. The most disagreement occurred with the three Tables at the end of the document. The majority of respondents agreed that the three Tables at the end were useful, if only as a reference guide.
