1. Rationale

D1838, the LPG copper strip corrosion test, lacks an Interpretation section which is present in D130 to give guidance on rating a copper strip, and the current description of dealing with water staining on the copper strip is too vague and does not give laboratories adequate guidance on how to handle the issue.
