1. Rationale
The edits/corrections are as follows: Reformatted list of symbols in Section 3.3 for clarity. Replaced the term load with force in sections 3.3, 5.1, 13.1, 13.2, 14.1.26, and 14.1.33. Hyphenated the term force-deflection in section 11.6. Units were added to the slope term (m) in the list of variable descriptions in Section 13.7.2.1. Space was added between the Statistics equations in Section 13.8 and they were given individual equation numbers to be consistent with other standards and to make the equations easier to read. Definitions were edited in the variables list in Section 13.8 for consistency both within this standard and amongst other D30 standards. Minor rewording of Section 14.1.26 to add clarity. Deleted Section 14.1.32, since it is redundant with 14.1.26. (i.e. Flexural strength is defined as stress at peak applied force prior to failure (sec 3.2.1); therefore, Maximum Flexural Stress = Flexural Strength, as defined in this standard.) Replaced figures and text in Fig 3 with an image of better resolution.
