1. Rationale

Proposed revision of B983-12 for inclusion of 7 more Nickel Alloys (UNS N09945, UNS N09925, UNS N07718, UNS N10276, UNS N06985, UNS N08825 and UNS N08028). The revised specification is expected to help Oil, Gas and Power industries in quality control for seamless tubular products of 10 different alloys that are precipitation hardened or cold worked to high strength.
