1. Rationale
We are balloting to revise 12.1 Precision, to reflect the fact that we have no data to support a precision statement for the estimate of optimum sulfate. This lack was addressed by a round robin conducted under ILS #0032, but unfortunately it failed to give usable data. The analysis indicating this failure has been filed at ASTM headquarters. This revision alerts the user to the situation. Developing a new round-robin will be an item of new business at the next subcommittee meeting.
