1. Rationale
Currently the standard is written for sonic resonance excitation only and we wish to expand the standard to include impulse excitation. The fundamental frequency of vibration and elastic modulus are independent of the method of excitation. An ILSS will be conducted and a precision and bias statement developed since there is currently not one included.
