1. Scope
This test method covers the measurement of the cut resistance of a material when mounted on a mandrel and subjected to a cutting edge under a specified load.
The current revision of F1790 allows for two different testing devices to be used for measuring cut resistance, but the devices have different mechanical operation that can lead to differences in measured test results.
