1. Rationale

This standard is due for re approval and update. At the May 9, 2012, A04.75 subcommittee meeting the subcommittee members discussed the need to review the A1056 standard for re approval adding any needed revisions to the standard. Jerry Witkow volunteered to begin this review and propose any identified revisions for balloting.
