1. Rationale

A test method precision statement, generated by ASTM was added to the standard. This statement replaces text that indicates precision and bias will be determined through ISO/TC64/Sc4. This is no longer the case. Testing is currently being coordinated through ASTM D20 to develop a precision and bias statement.
