    1. Rationale

    In the precision and bias section of the method, data are given as within-laboratory values, when in actuality the do not meet the ASTM definition of within- laboratory test result statistics. Rather they are statistics concerning test determinations, not test results. This work item is to correct the terminology in this section, while preserving the information that is still useful to users of the method.
