1. Rationale
The standard was revised to provide consistency in statements made about the test results regarding the breakage probability of a population of glass specimens. Prior to this revision, the statements made about breakage probability were consistent only if there were no test failures. Revision of test parameters, statistical tables, and rewording of the Interpretation of Results now provides rational conclusions regardless of the test results. Other changes were made to for clarity.
