1. Rationale
The term growth is redundant within Subcommittees D13.58 and D13.60. At the ASTM Committee Meetings in Atlanta, Georgia on January 31, 2012, members of D13.58 voted unanimously to maintain the definition for the term growth with the added wording. Approval of this ballot will constitute approval to maintain jurisdiction of the definition for growth along with the added text in parenthesis, which is under the jurisdiction of Subcommittee D13.58, into D4849 Terminology Relating to Fibers and Yarns and to editorially change it in Terminology D123.
