1. Rationale
Project #10-12-08 is to clarify design requirements for electrofusion fitting wire terminations of heating coils to define where wires can exit the fitting. Improper design can result in wire exiting through the wall of the fitting is an area that is subject to internal pressure. No such guidance currently exists in the standard.
