1. Rationale
Early this year, section 11.5 on flexural strength was balloted with the objectives of clarifying the preparation and number of specimens, and the interpretation of the results. It received one negative that was withdrawn based on the commitment to ballot this aspect again. Two separate ballots items will be submitted. The first ballot item specifies 3 specimens, whereas the second ballot refers to the test method ASTM C203 used for flexural strength for the number of specimens.
