1. Rationale
The current wording in section 10.1.1 would not seem to allow the technician to use his hand to support the bottom of the specimen when it needs to be relocated prior to initial storage, as it requires use of a trowel or similar device. The proposed revision would allow the technician to use other methods, including using his hand, to support the bottom of the specimen and would still not allow the technician to move the cylinder using the lip around the top of the mold.
