1. Scope
This standard practice provides procedures to evaluate the performance of spectroscopic instruments and instrument systems that employ Raman spectroscopy to produce an image of a sample. Specifically, this standard gives instructions on how to evaluate the spatial resolution, spectral resolution, Raman image area, Raman spectral signal-to-noise ratio, Raman image signal-to-noise ratio and overall performance of a Raman Spectroscopic Imaging System.
