1. Rationale
We are providing an electronic spreadsheet that will be available on the ASTM website which can simply perform the complex calculations in the main body of this standard without typical errors when calculated manually. This will be a nonmandatory item. The spreadsheet will also provide the flexibility to calculate air contents with varying the ratio and weights of sand, cement or other cementitious materials. The spreadsheet will not be fixed to only calculate a mortar mix using 350 grams of cement and 1400 grams of sand which will be valuable to use with other ASTM test methods for example C-109.
