1. Rationale
Emulsified asphalts listed in Table 1 to have an optional test method requirement to measure their viscosity using a Rotational Paddle Viscometer as described in D7226, Test Method for Determining the Viscosity of Emulsified Asphalt Using a Rotational Paddle Viscometer. The optional viscosity requirements determined by test method D7226 for the emulsified asphalt grades listed in Table 1 to be listed in a Table 2. Recent ASTM Interlaboratory Studies on the viscosity test method of Table 1 and on the alternative viscosity test method for inclusion in a Table 2 will bring this standard up to date with the most current new viscosity mesurements for emulsified asphalts
