To revise and reinstate this standard that was discontinued. The specification covers materials, dimensions, workmanship and performance tests for high density polyethylene smooth-wall coilable polyethylene (PE) conduit containing electrical wires or cables or both preassembled by the manufacturer.
The specification is intended to establish minimum material and performance requirements for manufacturers of cable in conduit and guidance for specification requirements to end users such as utilities, specifiers and certification agencies.
