1. Rationale
Section 13 of ASTM C1396 is titled Finish & Appearance. This section identifies that gypsum board is not a finished product, but only a substrate that needs finishing. This work item will deal with discussing what should and should not be expected from Paper faced gypsum board as it comes from the factory. A second stage of this work item is to take a look at making modification to section 22.1 of C 840, after the final wording is agreed upon for section 13 of C 1396.
