1. Scope
This specification and test methods cover both acute and chronic performance characterizations of absorbable vascular implants used to provide temporary luminal scaffolding/support of the coronary and peripheral vasculature following interventional revascularization procedures.
The proposed standard will be used by industry, academics, government agencies and any other interested parties engaged in testing absorbable stents or stent grafts.
