The item being balloted is an addition to the appendix of test method E96 that is based on the observations and experiences of Interlaboratory Study (ILS, or round robin) #512 conducted early to mid 2010. Important information on this ILS is contained in the text of this item. Information contained in standard Appendices is considered non-mandatory. It provides background and guidance or advice for consideration. Voting is on content of this item only, and on no other part of the standard. A separate ballot item covers the Precision and Bias (P&B) statement resulting from the ILS.
