1. Rationale

The Draft Revision addresses comments from the Subcommittee ballot concerning sample preparation apparatus and the title has been changed to remove references to remediation of process releases as well as the text. The method was withdrawn from ballot and revised to address additional NvMA comments, however, it is understood that this is to be a generic guide and the NvMA may initiate a more focused effort to develop a standard method to meet their needs.
