1. Rationale
ASTM F2136 has specimen preparation procedures for samples made from compression-molded plaques. Current industry standards (e.g. AASHTO M294) also require specimens to be taken from the liner of Type S corrugated HDPE pipe, and there is no guidance for preparation of these specimens in ASTM F2136. This revision will provide the procedure for preparing and notching specimens from the liner of corrugated HDPE pipe. This has been designated as Project 40-11-07.
