1. Rationale

The version of 1159-03a is outdated and does not cover all unclassified rides and has redundant sections that are found in other standards that are part of the F-24 standards family. The changes that will balloted are the following: change the title of 1159 to a title that is more appropriate for the new scope of the standard, adjust the scope of the document to include all unclassified rides, replace all sections that are in the document that are found in other standards with reference locations, and add in generic language to include areas that are not specifically covered by the current version of 1159.
