WK35032 Revision of E1172 - 87(2003) Standard Practice for Describing and Specifying a Wavelength-Dispersive X-Ray Spectrometer

1. Rationale

This is a significantly revised version submitted by Bruno Vrebos and John Sieber back in December 2010. It was submitted to ASTM for ballot in April 2011, but was never balloted. Earlier this summer, I was asked to submit another copy for ballot, and sent the previous version by mistake. This is the revised version to bring the document up to date with terminology, XRF practices, and instrument design standards.
