1. Scope

1.1 This method covers obtaining, preparing, and testing specimens of plain and fiber reinforced shotcrete using (1) cores drilled for compressive or splitting tensile strength determinations (2) sawed cubes for compression strength and (3) beams sawed for flexural strength, toughness and average residual strength.
1.2 The values stated in either inch-pound units or SI units shall be regarded separately as standard. SI units are shown in brackets. The values stated may not be exact equivalents therefore each system must be used independently of the other. Combining of the two units may result in non-comformance.
