1. Scope
1.1 This specification covers steel fiber reinforced concrete pipe intended to be used for the conveyance of sewage, industrial wastes, and storm water and for the construction of culverts.
The developement of steel fibers as a viable reinforcement mechanism for concrete pipe and as being used in other countries, indicates a need for an ASTM standard that addresses both the manufacturing and test requirements.
