1. Rationale
In Section 1 of C9.20 there was a discussion asking if there is a difference in decorative and architectural concrete. At least one State DOT says they are the same. The American Concrete Institute defines them differently. Upon review of the definitions, it was decided to clarify the following wording in Table 4 of C33. 5S Exposed architectural concrete should read 5S Exposed architectural or decorative concrete. 5M Exposed architectural concrete should read 5M Exposed architectural or decorative concrete.
